Queens Gambit
This pawns position on a chess board is a queen’s gambit opening. White just made the second move placing pawn to C4 and it’s time for blacks to make their move either accepting or declining this play.
Queens gambit is one of the oldest openings and is still commonly played today. It is traditionally described as a gambit because White appears to sacrifice the c-pawn. However, if Black takes the pawn, they are losing their position in the center of the board.
